No matter what type of operation you are running, a grapple attachment is an essential and versatile tool to own. A grapple is a loader attachment you can utilize to move materials that would be difficult to handle with a bucket or fork. Grapples have an upper and lower jaw that allows them to effortlessly clamp onto materials like logs, brush, or pipes and have a better handle. To better accomplish your specific tasks there are a couple of grapple styles for you to choose from. When considering what type of grapple you need, consider what tasks need to be done, and if the grapple attachment is compatible with your loader. Typically, grapples with an open bottom are great for sifting out loose material, and grapples with a solid bottom are good for holding materials in. Let’s look at a few different types of grapple styles to determine which one is best for you.

Pallet Fork Grapple

Mechanical Grapples

The grapples consist of an upper and lower jaw that is designed with teeth to help grab and remove the material once it is clamped. These can be used for multiple purposes such as moving logs, fence posts, rocks, and more. The Mechanical Grapples are compatible with the 120R, 220R, and 300E loaders.
